Our Food
31The Pop Pearse Lodge includes a Dining Area for boys and girls, a modern up-to-date Kitchen, four Recreation Rooms, two fireplaces and Library. We utilize the very latest ideas in food service, sanitation, and efficiency accompanied by a bright, fresh, modern design. The Dining Hall overlooks the lake and provides a spectacular view in all seasons. Our food caterers: The Landed Loon have over 20 years of experience in the wide range of large group food service in all seasons and a variety of settings.

Tawingo supplies three well-balanced meals and a snack as part of every day at Camp. Food is prepared on site. We are a nut-free environment. We accommodate vegetarian and other specialized dietary needs as well as allergies when we are notified in advance of a visit.

10At Camp Tawingo we try to package healthy choices in a child friendly fashion (wraps, pasta, sandwiches). Fresh cut vegetables and fruit are served regularly. We prepare and bake all of our breads and desserts on site each day. There is plenty of variation in the menu with opportunities to select from within this variety.

Mealtimes are generally served each day at 8:30 A.M., 12:30 P.M. and 5:30 P.M. Last day lunch times may be adjusted to permit earlier departures. Meals are served family-style, with one person bringing food items to and from the table. We request that one staff person from your group to be seated at each of your tables in order to help supervise. Groups are assigned tablesetting duties and may be asked to assist in post mealtime dining hall clean-up.
