Tawingo Talkback!

I made lots of new friends and had a ton of fun! My favourite memory was on outtrip. We had a blast. Gracie was a really great counsellor. Thanks for a great two weeks at camp!

International Camping
The world of camping is a big world indeed. Every summer, we welcome over a hundred campers from outside Canada who join us for one or more of our camping sessions. You can see some of the countries represented at Camp Tawingo every summer on a list below.

If you are visiting this site from another country and want more information about special travel arrangements or other preparations to come to Camp, contact the camp with any of your questions.

In 2000, Camp Tawingo took a BIG international step. We led a Camp Tawingo trip to a camp in Venezuela. We had a camper and leader exchange to Camp Rincon Grande, outside Caracas. The Director, Pedro Paredes, is a good friend of Camp Tawingo and campers from Rincon Grande have spent part of their summers at Camp Tawingo for over thirteen years. The campers and staff had a great time.

Jack Pearse and John Jorgenson are also on a special committee that is the Steering Committee of the International Camping Fellowship. This group helps camps, campers, and leaders learn more about camping around the world. Camp Tawingo is the Headquarters for the International Camping Fellowship.
