In September 1996, Tawingo College opened its doors to Muskoka area children as an Ontario Ministry of Education registered independent day school.
Our 220 acre site offers a spectacular setting for learning. Tawingo College can utilize the entire property and has access to the shores of beautiful Lake Vernon with swimming, and canoeing facilities.
Laughton Hall, a 10,000 square foot, log, academic building, provides a warm and welcoming venue for formal, traditional learning. It is equipped with modern classroom facilities, including the latest in current computer and multimedia equipment.
Our Tawingo College faculty are certified teachers with a strong commitment to teaching the whole child and utilizing the wide range of both traditional and non-traditional educational resources which Tawingo College has to offer.
